THE OSA TOURNAMENT POINTS SYSTEM

OSA maintains point standings for players finishing in 4^th-position or better, in OSA-sanctioned tournaments as follows:

Points for Amateurs playing in an AMATEUR or OPEN Tournament:

Main: 1^st or 2^nd - 1 point,  3^rd  or 4th - 1/2 point.Consolation 1st - 1/2 point.

An Amateur becomes an Expert after accumulating five points. 

Points for Experts playing in an OPEN Tournament:

Main:   1^st - 4 points;   2^nd - 3 points;   3^rd  - 2 points; 4th - 1 point; Consolation: 1st - 1 point

An Expert becomes eligible for the OSA Hall Of Fame after reaching thirty five points - Please see OSA Player Points and Hall Of Fame
